Know an area in your community that needs a new life?

The Stalled Spaces Scotland Fund could come in handy! The fund, commissioned by the Scottish Government and administered by Architecture and Design Scotland, is there to help community groups run temporary activity from the ‘stalled spaces’.

Community groups in Angus are invited to apply for funding to develop ideas on ‘Stalled Spaces’ in their towns. Successful projects should aim to bring new life to vacant or derelict land which may be causing a blight on a town and be better utilised by the community. Ideas may include projects such as:

  • Community garden
  • Container allotment
  • Outdoor education
  • Outdoor event / exhibition
  • Pop up activity such as play area, cinema
  • Outdoor gym

or any temporary activity that stimulates interest and involvement in and around the site. You can visit the Angus External Funding website to find out more. Applications must be in by the 13th May for consideration.
